About me
Biography
Warwickshire based artist Aine lock specialises in painting and drawing, she is currently studying at De Montfort University for a Fine Arts BA undergraduate degree. Lock takes inspiration from travelling to small towns across the world. Architecture, landscapes, music, nightlife, the people she meets and cultures she discovers along the way fuel her creativity.
Her more recent pieces allows for people’s minds to think freely when viewing her work. Her current work is none-objective, meaning that she has no specific meaning or set emotion. She likes people to view her work and use their own experiences to determine their feelings about it, allowing them to connect personally with the art. She does this because she has always had an interest in how the human mind works, specifically the removal of barriers and creation of thought provocation. Focusing on how the brain differs for each individual person if they are enabled to put the pieces together themselves using their senses, rather than being told what it is. The vast array of individual solutions from this has become of huge interest to the artist.
